Lange
Often seen as the innovator of the modern ski boot, Lange has been a leader in ski boots since 1948. Popularized by their consistent presence on the podium, Lange has always been associated with performance.
Lange's first plastic ski boot, the Lange Comp, was introduced in 1962 and quickly gained popularity among racers and other serious skiers. The boot was designed to fit snugly and securely around the foot, providing maximum control and power transfer.
In the 1960s, most ski boots were made from leather and were soft and flexible, which made them comfortable but not very responsive. Lange's innovation was to introduce a new type of ski boot made from plastic, which was much stiffer and provided better support and control.
Over the years, Lange continued to innovate and improve its ski boot designs. In the 1970s, the company introduced the Lange XR ski boot. This provided even more precise control and support for skiers.
In the 1980s, Lange introduced the Lange Mid, which was the first ski boot to feature a Mid-entry design. This made putting on and taking off the boot much easier and was especially popular among recreational skiers.
Today, Lange continues to be a leading manufacturer of high-performance ski boots, and its products are used by skiers of all levels around the world.
